Welcome to Colorado Learning Through Movement

Moving beyond pain and limitations to transform lives.

Colorado Learning Through Movement Is: the collaboration of Anat Baniel Method (R) NeuroMovement (R) practitioners Andrew Tarr and Barbara Horwitch working together to help infants, children, and adults to move beyond pain and limitation and to transform their lives. They also coordinate with other Colorado practitioners, practitioners in surrounding states, and the Anat Baniel Method Center to provide NeuroMovement (R) information and opportunities to as many families and individuals as possible. The Anat Baniel Method of NeuroMovement (ABMNM) accesses the amazing power of the brain to change itself, providing the tools to help each individual to live life more fully, with greater success and joy. Learn much more about The Anat Baniel Method of NeuroMovement (ABMNM) and the wide variety of conditions it is effective for from the Anat Baniel Method website.

Colorado Learning Through Movement also shares space and collaborates closely with Naturopathic MD and Brain Integration Technique expert Dr. Shelese Pratt, and invites in Neurovascular Integration founder Dr. Cathy Holway on a regular basis to offer advanced nutritional, metabolic, and cranial sacral support to our clients. Denver, CO: NeuroMovement® for Children with Special Needs Workshop 2017 – Anat Baniel Method

Denver Neuromovement Workshop 2017

Colorado Learning Through Movement Offers:

One on One Movement Lessons:
Tailored to the needs of each student, these gentle, enjoyable, and non invasive sessions create the opportunity for special needs infants and children, and injured adults to make powerful improvements in organization of movement, thoughts, and feelings, and to achieve reduction in limitation or pain. Lessons last approximately 30-45 minutes and take place on a table or mat, with the student comfortably clothed. Changes can be profound and immediate, often seen and felt after the first lesson.

Group Transformational Movement Lessons/Awareness Through Movement Lessons:
These 45 minute to one hour long lessons are given to small groups of adults (2-20 people) and take place usually on the floor, in loose, comfortable clothing, on a padded mat. There are hundreds of different lessons that focus on a wide variety of movement functions and skills, so we tend to group them around significant themes, such as healthy backs or healthy necks and shoulders.  Lesson schedule varies. Please contact Barbara at 303-579-0453 or barbara.horwitch@gmail.com for current schedule. With these lessons, movement is transformed from exercise into a conversation with the brain. Participants will be called upon to think, listen, and feel in an entirely new manner. Regardless of one’s current movement ability, participants become more flexible, strong, and coordinated, and experience greater joy and a lessening of limitation and pain.

Workshops for Parents of Special Needs Children:
These workshops are an opportunity for parents to deepen their understanding of ABM and to gain more tools with which to enhance their child’s learning and growth in between lessons. Lecture, Hands On, and Movement Lessons will all be used as modalities to explore the vast potential available in the Nine Essentials of ABM. These workshops are held on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00, Please contact Barbara at 303-579-0453 or barbara.horwitch@gmail.com for the 2019 workshop schedule.

ABM Intensives:
Because we are multiple practitioners working together, we can offer 3, 5, or 10 day intensives for either local or traveling families, providing both practitioner consistency and variation (an ABM Essential) at the same time. Intensives can involve one, two or three lessons a day and can be tailored for particular dates or travel schedules. They can also usually be scheduled to accommodate a child’s feeding and napping schedule with enough notice.
