Welcome to Colorado Learning Through Movement

Moving beyond pain and limitations to transform lives.

Colorado Learning Through Movement Is: an association of Colorado based Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® practitioners working together to help infants, children, and adults to move beyond pain and limitation and to transform their lives. The Anat Baniel Method (ABM) accesses the amazing power of the brain to change itself, providing the tools to help each individual to live life more fully, with greater success and joy. Learn much more about ABM and the wide variety of conditions it is effective for from the Anat Baniel Method website.

Colorado Learning Through Movement Offers:

One on One Movement Lessons:
Tailored to the needs of each student, these gentle, enjoyable, and non invasive sessions create the opportunity for special needs infants and children, and injured adults to make powerful improvements in organization of movement, thoughts, and feelings, and to achieve reduction in limitation or pain. Lessons last approximately 30-45 minutes and take place on a table or mat, with the student comfortably clothed. Changes can be profound and immediate, often seen and felt after the first lesson.

Group Transformational Movement Lessons/Awareness Through Movement Lessons:
These 45 minute to one hour long lessons are given to small groups of adults (2-20 people) and take place usually on the floor, in loose, comfortable clothing, on a padded mat. There are hundreds of different lessons that focus on a wide variety of movement functions and skills, so we tend to group them around significant themes, such as healthy backs or healthy necks and shoulders.  Lessons are given twice weekly in the large room in our office:  Monday and Wednesday at 4:00 pm. With these lessons, movement is transformed from exercise into a conversation with the brain. Participants will be called upon to think, listen, and feel in an entirely new manner. Regardless of one’s current movement ability, participants become more flexible, strong, and coordinated, and experience greater joy and a lessening of limitation and pain.

Workshops for Parents of Special Needs Children:
These workshops are an opportunity for parents to deepen their understanding of ABM and to gain more tools with which to enhance their child’s learning and growth in between lessons. Lecture, Hands On, and Movement Lessons will all be used as modalities to explore the vast potential available in the Nine Essentials of ABM. These workshops are held on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00, Please contact us for the 2017 workshop schedule.

ABM Intensives:
Because we are multiple practitioners working together, we can offer 3, 5, or 10 day intensives for either local or traveling families, providing both practitioner consistency and variation (an ABM Essential) at the same time. Intensives usually involve two lessons a day and can be tailored for particular dates or travel schedules. They can also usually be scheduled to accommodate a child’s feeding and napping schedule with enough notice.
